Master’s thesis deadlines  

Please note the schedules for submitting, assessing and approving master’s theses. Last date to submit completed thesis for assessment is 19 December 2024. If the thesis is the only uncompleted component of your studies, you can submit a graduation request on the same date. 

 

Important dates regarding graduation during autumn term  

If your study right is ending or you want to graduate by the end of autumn term 2024 (last day of autumn term is 31 Dec), please submit the graduation request in Sisu by 31 December 2024. All the studies included in the degree must be completed by the time you submit the request (i.e., the latest date of completion in Sisu).  

Please make all the necessary applications for your study plan in Sisu (applications concerning the content of a study plan, request for content approval or applying for a credit transfer) well in advance before submitting the graduation request. The graduation request cannot be processed if the structure of your study plan is against the degree structure rules in Sisu. 

We recommend submitting the graduation request well in advance before the last deadline, if possible. Please note that the degree registration and diploma delivery delay are longer than usual during the end of the year when there are many applications. Possible delays will not affect your graduation day.  

Please also note that healthcare professional graduates can work under student rights before their actual licensing for 30 days. Consequently, when pursuing a healthcare professional qualification, it is important for you to carefully determine the point at which you submit your graduation request. We do not recommend that you submit your graduation request on the same date as you submit your thesis because degrees cannot be registered within 30 days of thesis submission. 

 

Graduation Ceremony 

The Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025.
