Well-being events

By selecting a degree programme you are able to see the general content as well as the possible degree programme-specific content. You do not have to select a degree programme to see the Open University's instructions.

The University and its partners organise many types of low-threshold activities to support your well-being and your studies. On this page you can read about events, clinics and discussion groups that are open to everyone. Events take place both on campus and online. Come along and ask questions and learn something new!

Do you have a study-related question but don't know where to find help? The Guidance Compass page will help you find the answer. Also learn more about our groups and courses to support your study ability

SMART and Pomodoro techniques

The Pomodoro Technique encourages focused work: the idea is to work intensively for 25 minutes, followed by a short break. During the breaks, you should try to get your mind off the task, for example, by stretching.

The SMART technique is a tool that can help you break down tasks and assignments into smaller pieces and set achievable goals. Segmenting a task often helps you get going and get a grip on your studies.

With the help of videos accessible in the side panel, you can also use the SMART and Pomodoro techniques for independent study.
