Academic year and enrolment
By selecting a degree programme you are able to see the general content as well as the possible degree programme-specific content. You do not have to select a degree programme to see the Open University's instructions.

When you search for a degree programme by name or by part of the name the options in the list of degree programmes below the search field is narrowed down. After this you have to choose the degree programme from the list.

The academic year begins on 1 August and ends on the last day of the following July.
Registration for attendance (or non-attendance) is obligatory for all degree students.
In addition to registering as for the academic year, you will have to register separately for all courses which you intend to complete.
The certificate of student status is a free-of-charge certificate of attendance or non-attendance available to all degree students.
If you are liable to pay for tuition, this page is for you. You can find the payment instructions and all other relevant information for the first academic year from the University’s website.
When you are enrolled as attending student, you can pick up the year tag for your student card beginning on August 1.
